Moringa Elai Podi, Dry Chutney Powder

Moringa Elai Podi is an easy and nutritious condiment from Southern India. While Podi is a Tamilian word that means “powder”, this specific spicy podi is known as Moringa Elai Podi since Moringa or Drumstick leaf is the star ingredient.
Idli Podi is a staple in every South Indian household. And I can have Idli podi with anything be it Idli, Dosa, Upma, Roti, Bread and the list is endless. This variation of Idli Podi uses Moringa leaves which again is a staple in Southern India.
Idlis smeared with podi is a typical travel food which takes me back to my childhood days when a train journey would not be complete without Idli and Milagai podi
Moringa is a nutrient-packed food that comes from the Moringa tree in India.
Moringa has many important vitamins and minerals. The leaves have about as much potassium as a banana, and about the same amount of vitamin C as an orange. It also has calcium, protein, iron, and amino acids, which help your body heal and build muscle.
Please do try this Murungai keerai podi / Drumstick leaves powder for rice, Idli, dosa and enjoy. This podi stays good without refrigeration for a month.
