Flax Swiss Roll is a healthier alternative for your dessert cravings. Though a dessert, yet this is healthy as this is a no flour no cook recipe requiring very few ingredients.

Flax seed is widely consumed in many states of India. In Maharashtra this is known as Jawas or Alsi and is a staple ingredient. In Bihar also, Tisi (another name for Flax) is consumed in various ways. Though an ancient seed, this is gaining popularity as a superfood.

For this recipe, you can use store bought Flax meal. Or, you can make your own flax meal by dry roasting flax seeds till they start to crackle. Please make sure to keep the flame low-medium and keep a lid ready as the seeds start to pop out very quickly once they start roasting.

Cool and dry grind in a blender and use in this Flax Swiss Roll. I have added whey protein powder to this recipe. But if you prefer, you may add either milk powder or almond or coconut flour. Similarly, I have sprinkled sesame seeds (I used a mix of white and black sesame seeds) which can be replaced with any finely crushed nut of your choice.

This recipe will yield 14 servings with each serving having 214 calories with 10.01 grams of carb and 10.09 grams of protein.
